Carla fu parte del primo gruppo che nel 1969 ricevette lo shodan Aikikai dal Maestro Tada e fu protagonista femminile di un momento irripetibile per entusiasmo ed energia nello sviluppo dell'arte in Italia. L'articolo include anche un pressocché inedito filmato del 1968 sul maestro Tada e i suoi allievi dell'epoca, in azione presso l'allora neonato Dojo Centrale di Roma

di RIONNE "FUJIWARA" MCAVOY - Il maestro Yokota Yoshiaki, 8° dan Aikikai, a mio parere dovrebbe essere uno degli shihan di Aikido più famosi al mondo, in compagnia di grandi nomi come Yamada e Chiba, Tada e Tamura. Ai miei occhi, è il meglio del meglio, ma fino a un fatidico giorno del 2008 non avevo mai sentito parlare di lui, nonostante all'epoca avessi vissuto e praticato in Giappone per sei anni. A dire il vero, Yokota Sensei mi ha salvato dall'abbandonare l'Aikido. Non ho mai smesso nulla prima in vita mia, ma poco prima di incontrare Sensei ero davvero deluso rispetto a dove mi stava portando l'Aikido
